A seaside neighborhood 5 km east of downtown, home to the UACh Pelluco and Costanera campuses and a strip of well-known restaurants. The Carretera Austral starts here. The natural pick if you study at UACh.
Chinquihue
A quieter coastal sector west of the city, near the fishing port and the Universidad de Los Lagos campus (km 6, Camino a Chinquihue). Green surroundings and sea views, with regular public transport to the center.
